French film giant Alain Delon dies aged 88

French film legend Alain Delon has died at the age of 88.

The actor was a star of the golden era of French cinema, known for his tough-guy persona on screen in hits including The Samurai and Borsalino.

Delon has been in poor health in recent years and become a virtual recluse. More recently, the breakdown of his family had been making headlines in France.

Brigitte Bardot led tributes in France saying Delon's death left a "huge void that nothing and no-one will be able to fill".

Once described as the most beautiful man in the film, Delon starred in hits including Leopard, Rocco and his brothers in the 1960s.

It stole the hearts of fans in every role, from hitmen to charming scammers.
Although the movie's appearance rate has continued to decline since the 1990s, it has been linked to the celebrity category.

He made a total of 90 films during his career.
France's President Emmanuel Macron said on Sunday that he had "played a legendary role" in one of his tributes to Mr. DeLong and had dreamed of the world.
In a statement to his Twitter X account, he said: "Mod and secret and depression are no stars. It is a monument to France."

His family said, "Aaron Fabian, Anuschka, Antony and Lubo were very sad.
He died peacefully at a house in Dersh, surrounded by three children and a family.
Le Parisien described Deron as a movie legend, and Liberation described him as a male hero, a symbol of masculinity, and an actor of crazy charm.
In a press release to AFP, Brigitte Bardot pointed out that Delon represents the best French luxury film.
In the line of elegance, talent and beauty, I have lost a friend and another me, a companion."
The drone won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2019.

The event led to a moving speech that seemed to break up with the movie.
"I pay a little respect after I die, but it's the object of my life," he said. "I have to go, but I won't leave without thanking you."
Jill Jacob, the former president of the Cannes Film Festival, called the drone a "lion."···
